    Celebrating Seuss in New London

    New London — The Mitchell College Education Department and Early Childhood Education Club held their Cat in the Hat Ball on Saturday at the Clarke and Weller Centers at Mitchell.

    Children could participate in reading games, craft activities, hear noted children's author Tish Rabe read from her series "The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library," and see a performance of the Community Dance Ensemble.

    The event is held in celebration of the birthday of Theodore "Dr. Seuss" Geisel, which is March 2.
