Black Wolves extend contract of head coach Glenn Clark

The New England Black Wolves announced on Thursday that head coach Glenn Clark has signed a three-year contract extension.

"We couldn't be happier to have Glenn back with us for the next three years,” Black Wolves general manager Rich Lisk said. “What he brings to the team, not just on the field but off the field epitomizes what we are at the Black Wolves. When we started together we made a five-year plan and this contract will help us fulfill that plan. I look forward to working with Glenn to continue to make New England one of the elite franchises in the NLL."

The 2016 National Lacrosse League Coach of the Year in his first season in New England, Clark has led the Black Wolves to two consecutive playoff appearances. He has coached two of the league’s top 10 scorers in Shawn Evans and Kevin Crowley and one of the best goalies in Evan Kirk.

“I’m very excited and thankful to the Black Wolves organization for their continued support of our coaching staff,” Clark said. “The ownership and operations staff is first class and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work towards bringing a championship to New England.”

Clark brings a wealth of experience to the Black Wolves as both a coach and a player. Drafted in 1997 by the Ontario Raiders, he spent seven seasons with the Toronto Rock as a player, winning five NLL Champions Cups. Following his playing career, Clark spent time with the Rock as head coach. He’s also served as an assistant for Team Canada and earned Canadian Lacrosse League Coach of the Year honors in 2013.
