    A pat on the back to the Heaton family of Roca, Neb., and to the hundreds of families who have adopted Haitian orphans into their homes, erasing misery of at least some of the children whose difficult lives were made far worse by the recent earthquake.The New York Times on Tuesday told the story of Scott and Kristin Heaton and their adoption of Haitian children Bettania, 7, and Dieunette, 2, expanding a family that already includes a 20-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter.
