    New London Democrats endorse candidates

New London — City Democrats endorsed full slates of candidates for seats on the City Council and Board of Education this week, leaving just one incumbent left to decide whether or not to primary for a spot.

Incumbent City Councilor John Satti, despite being endorsed by a selection committee of the Democratic Town Committee, was bumped from the list of endorsed candidates during a vote at Tuesday’s caucus.

City Council President Anthony Nolan was not on the initial list of endorsed candidates but obtained a nomination from the floor at Tuesday’s meeting and secured enough votes for a spot on the slate of candidates.

Endorsed candidates for City Council, in order of votes received, include: Don Venditto, Martha Marx, Rich Baez, Anthony Nolan, Efrain Dominguez, Alma Nartatez and Michael Tranchida.

The endorsed slate of Democrats for the Board of Education is: Jason Catala, Scott Garbini, Jeffery Hart, Wanda Cotto, Mark Matson, Regina Mosley and Robert DeRobbio.
