Police investigating after car crashes into New London home

New London — Police on Friday morning continued to investigate an overnight incident in which a driver crashed a light-colored car into the corner of a Truman Street home and then fled the scene.
According to acting police Chief Peter Reichard, the car collided with the house at 105 Truman St. during the afternoon shift, which runs from 3 to 11 p.m. Video of the incident indicates it occurred about 10 p.m.
Reichard said the collision appeared to have caused minor damage to the structure. Building and fire officials were notified.
Police have not yet made any arrests in the case.
