Two women arrested after fight in Mystic over making noise, racial slurs

Mystic -- Stonington police say an woman repeatedly punched her neighbor while she lay on the ground after the neighbor confronted her about making noise early Friday morning.

Police say that Michelle Fillmore, 43, of 207 Whitehall Ave., Apt. 2, confronted Victoria E. Barber, 19, just before 2 a.m. Police listed Barber as having an address in East Lyme even though the report states the altercation was in incident between two neighbors at 207 Whitehall Avenue.

Police say Barber struck Fillmore with a closed fist which knocked her to the ground. Barber then got on top of Fillmore and continued to strike her with closed fists.

Police said Barber reported being confronted by Fillmore, who she said was yelling profanities and racial slurs at her. Barber also said Fillmore was spitting in her face as she yelled.

Barber was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace and Fillmore was charged with breach of peace.
