Police search for suspect who stole cash from Norwich Five Guys' safe

Norwich — Police are investigating the theft of cash from a safe at the Five Guys restaurant on Salem Turnpike early Sunday morning.

A manager at the restaurant called police Sunday morning to report that someone had burglarized the restaurant at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday and stole more than $1,000 from a safe, according to a news release.

Police are asking anyone with information about the burglary or who was near the restaurant at the time of the incident to contact police by calling (860) 886-5561 extension 3157, sending an email to amarsh@cityofnorwich.org or by calling the department’s anonymous tip line at (860) 886-5561, extension 4.
