    Pair charged with embezzling $32K from Norwich McDonald's

    Norwich — Police on Friday charged two women with first-degree larceny for allegedly embezzling more than $32,000 in cash from the McDonald's, 78 Town St.

    Jolene Rochester, 30, of 39 Glezen St., Norwich, and Patricia Dyer, 39, of 16 Oak St., Norwich, were both arrested Friday and each was held on $15,000 bond.

    Police allege the pair embezzled $32,268.30 from the McDonald's. Police did not immediately return a message seeking more details on how and when the money was allegedly stolen.

    McDonald's employees declined to comment Friday.

    Rochester and Dyer are due back in Norwich Superior Court on May 3.
