Waterford man injured in New Hampshire snowmobile crash

A Waterford man was injured Saturday afternoon when his snowmobile struck an obstacle on a trail in Groton, N.H., New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers said.

Officers said William Dawley, 59, was on Trail 151 near Halls Brook Road when he struck the unspecified object and was thrown from the snowmobile.

Crews took Dawley to Speare Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said factors such as elevation have a greater impact early in the season. They asked motorists to reduce speed and use caution on the trails.
