Search for Connecticut couple finds possible human remains

Weston — Connecticut State Police say possible human remains have been found during a search connected to the disappearance of a married couple who went missing in August.

Authorities say the remains were found at a vacant home in Weston on Thursday afternoon and taken to the medical examiner's office for identification.

Jeffrey and Jeannette Navin of Easton haven't been seen since Aug. 4. Their pickup truck was found with a shattered window on Aug. 9 in a commuter lot off the Merritt Parkway in Westport.

Their 27-year-old son, Kyle Navin, was arrested Sept. 8 on a federal gun charge but has not been charged in connection with his parents' disappearance.

He is scheduled to appear in federal court Friday for a detention hearing.
