Once more around the Block
Imagine five adult males, who haven't done anything particularly interesting since they were the most popular band in the world 15 years ago, getting together in a small neighborhood pub to talk about the Great Old Days.
”Y'know? It wasn't bad crooning slick harmonies and rocking those dance steps back at Disney World.”
”Those were the days, huh? Remember what shampoo Britney's hair smelled like?”
Finally, one guy says what they're all thinking. “We should go for it. Get back together. See if the New Kids on the Block still got that old sorcery!”
And that's exactly what happened and explains why the New Kids on the Block will perform Tuesday in the Mohegan Sun Arena. They have a new CD, “The Block,” which sounds like the ones when they weren't almost 40 years old.
