Judas Priest hits Foxwoods on '50 Heavy Metal Years' tour

    A half a century of lung-ripping and throat-splintering!

Good on you, Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford! And good on your ear-deliquescing metal bandmates! Yes, arguably THE finest act of all the New Wave of British Metal practitioners, Judas Priest is out on their "50 Heavy Metal Years" tour and play the Premier Theater at Foxwoods Saturday.

After all this time and 18 studio albums, it'll be interesting to see how JP structures their set list Saturday, except advance data indicates they probably won't play even one song from my favorite of their albums, "Sin After Sin."

That's OK. They Will Deliver Metal! Oh, and one or another of those bands claiming to be Queensryche is opening the show.

Judas Priest, 8 p.m. Saturday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; $55-$75; www.foxwoods.com.
