    A musically appreciative Labor Day

The eternally reliable United States Coast Guard Band concludes its summer concert series with a 5 p.m. Sunday performance commemorating Labor Day. It takes place on the Groton campus of the University of Connecticut Avery Point.

It’s a busy program with works by Frank Ticheli, Malcolm Arnold , Percy Grainger, William Grant Still, Tchaikovsky and more — and the band’s Chief Musician Charlie Suriyakham will be featured on Ante Grgin’s “Concerto for Clarinet.”
