Diocese not taking care of the neediest

Bishop Cote and his Norwich Diocese have done everything within their power to avoid compensating their sexual assault victims: lobbying the state legislature to keep victims from filing suit against them, discrediting valid complaints, ignoring accusations from victims, burying complaints in secret files, forcing victims to sue, forcing victims to go public with details that are VERY private in order to dissuade them from filing suit, offering up hollow apologies to victims while stating there is nothing more they can do for them, downplaying the worth of its assets while filing bankruptcy, millions spent on legal fees, and so forth.

That is how to treat the neediest of your flock? Children sexually preyed on by your deviant clergy and incapable of defending themselves get this from the diocese?

I first spoke to the church 11 or so years ago, thinking they would help me. I went public after realizing Bishop Cote had no intention of helping me. I was invisible to him.

I used to think I knew what a "good Catholic" was.

I know now, a "good Catholic" keeps his mouth shut.
