Norwich voters should oust Board of Ed members
For the past few months, The Day has published articles on Norwich schools. One article on the Norwich Board of Education states they are hiring a company to provide meals at Norwich schools. A second article covers teachers having problems with the Norwich school superintendent. A third article describes that a parent of a special education child was not notified that the child was being sent to another school. A final article really took the BOE to task. I applaud The Day for this coverage.
Having several grandchildren attending Norwich schools, I read these articles with concern. I could not understand the change to hire an outside company to provide meals. (Were there complaints?) Who recommended the change? (BOE member or the superintendent?) Prior to the second article, the BOE had voted in May to give Superintendent Stringfellow an unfavorable contract extension for not notifying parents which school their children would attend after closing the school (poor planning and inept leadership).
I recommend Norwich citizens to vote out the BOE members running for re-election. Demand the BOE to oust Superintendent Stringfellow.
