New London — This season, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Coast Guard Academy cheer team didn't cheer for any games.

Instead, members strictly worked on their skills for next season.

On Saturday, while on liberty, they wanted to spend some time outdoors practicing at Fort Trumbull State Park, near the Coast Guard barque Eagle. They also wanted to have some photos and video shot of what they have been working on all season, which started in January, before the first class cadets graduate.
