Groton police union endorses Cassiere and Franco for Town Council
Groton — The Groton Democratic Town Committee has announced that Groton Police Union Local No. 3428 endorsed two Town Council candidates.
"The union has endorsed candidates Rachael Franco and Melinda Cassiere for their willingness to hear concerns from law enforcement, their balanced approach to governing, and for keeping the best interest for both the community and the officers who serve and protect it in mind," the DTC's release states.
Letters from the police union to the candidates says that Cassiere's "willingness to be a member of the (Representative Town Meeting) Public Safety Committee," and Franco's "willingness to be a member of the Town Council Public Safety Committee" and their balanced approach to the committees "speaks volumes."
