Waterford — The Trail of Horror off 2 Old Barry Road in Quaker Hill celebrates its 10-year anniversary and returns after a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From Oct. 8 to 10, the trail will be open from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Local residents Joe and Dawn Harcut have put on the event in the past decade as a free community charity event, having raised thousands of dollars for local organizations.

Admission to this year's event is a nonperishable food item that will be donated to Waterford Food Bank. Cash donations will go toward the Connecticut chapter of American Parkinson Disease Association and United Community and Family Services.
