Eastern Connecticut State University sophomore Alexis Michon of Montville has been named the Little East Conference Pitcher of the Week for the third week of March.

Michon opened the team’s Florida trip with 15 2/3 scoreless innings and had a 3-0 record and 0.38 ERA in 18 2/3 innings over four appearances during an 8-0 week, holding opponents to a .138 batting average.

She struck out 34 batters and walked only three. Michon opened the trip by throwing the program’s 40th no-hitter with 14 strikeouts in a 7-0 victory over SUNY-Fredonia. She did not walk a batter over her final 12 1/3 innings in Florida.

This year, Michon is 6-1 with a 1.86 ERA in 37 2/3 innings with 54 strikeouts and 10 walks and an opposing .221 batting average. Michon was last year’s LEC Rookie of the Year and second-team All-LEC pick at Plymouth State University and was named both LEC Pitcher and Rookie of the Week on April 12 last year.
