    Three Rivers to hold open house for non-credit workforce development programs

    Norwich ― Three Rivers Community College will holding a workforce development and community education open house on Nov. 10 from 6 to 7 p.m., for people to learn more about non-credit programs that run from January to April. The open house will be held in room B127.

    The allied health programs starting in January are American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Central Sterile Processing, Certified Nurse Aide, Dementia Care, EKG Technician with AHA BLS Certification, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician Program, Veterinary Assistant, Mental Health First Aid, and Introduction to Medical Cannabis.

    The business and real estate courses are Introduction to the Cannabis Industry, Introduction to Cannabis Retail, Commercial Drone Operations Certificate Program, and Real Estate Principles and Practices. There are also manufacturing programs, including the Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative, Introduction to Shipfitting, Introduction to Welding, Introduction to Planning, and Outside Machinist.

    At the open house, staff can answer questions about registering, financial support and more. Prospective students can tour the allied health classrooms and labs and get a tour of the Manufacturing Apprenticeship Center.
