    Norwich registrars explain early voting setup for April 2 primary

    Norwich ― The state’s new early voting system begins with the presidential preference primary April 2, with early voting beginning March 26.

    Norwich registrars of voters announced that in Norwich, in-person early voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 26, 27, 28 and Saturday, March 30, at Norwich City Hall, 100 Broadway.

    Only voters registered in either the Democratic or Republican Parties are eligible to vote in primaries for the candidates of their respective parties.

    Registered voters may vote on any of the early voting days. Anyone who needs to register to vote must bring an appropriate ID in person but would need to return on a future day to cast a ballot.

    Absentee ballots are available from the Norwich city clerk’s office, (860) 823-3732.

    Any Norwich residents with questions regarding their voter status or polling location should call the registrars in advance at (860) 823-3754.

    Norwich polling locations on April 2 are as follows.

    District 1: Norwich Worship Center, 165 Lawler Lane.

    District 2: Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive.

    District 3: VFW-Norwich Industrial Park, 30 Connecticut Ave.

    District 4: Beth Jacob Synagogue, 400 New London Turnpike.

    District 5: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 247 Washington St.

    District 6: AHEPA 110 Community Room, 380 Hamilton Ave.
