Learning to sail
New London ― Children ages 10-14 participated in the New England Science and Sailing Foundation’s New London Community Sailing program at Green Harbor Beach on Friday, July 19, 2024.
Youth sailors learned Friday how to upright a sailboat if it capsizes and then spent time sailing. After returning to Green Harbor Beach they had fun jumping off the floating dock.
The program for New London Recreation, Drop in Learning Center and the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of Southeastern Connecticut is free. There’s also an open registration for children that live in New London and for children if they go to New London schools.
