Advisory issued for Old Lyme swimming area

Old Lyme ― Ledge Light Health District has issued a swimming advisory for Roger's Lake (Hains Park) after testing samples this week showed elevated levels of bacteria.

A second re-sample will be taken Friday with results expected over the weekend.

The health district pointed out that rain or other contamination occurring before the Monday and Wednesday morning sampling may have contributed to elevated bacterial counts.
