Joan Osborne is in concert at the Kate
Yeah, yeah, yeah: Joan Osborne had a hit single with “One of Us” in 1995, but that just skims the surface of her talent and achievements.
Just recently, her 2020 album “Trouble & Strife” was praised by reviewers from outlets ranging from NPR to People. That was on the heels of her well-received Dylan covers on 2017’s “Songs of Bob Dylan.”
She has a new release that just came out on Sept. 8: “Nobody Owns You.”
So there’ll be some new material for Osborne fans when she plays the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on Friday, and it should be good.
Joan Osborne, 8 p.m. Friday, Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook; $65; (860) 510-0453.
