New London — New London beat Montville 3-1 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division III boys' soccer game on Thursday.Niko Churis and Yovani Duenas Sánchez had a goal and an assist each, Erlin Almendarez had a goal, Jorge Almendarez had an assist and Oscar Amaya made six saves for the Whalers (4-3-2, 2-1-1). Chris Baukus scored, Ryan Hochdorfer had an assist and Jayden Burrell and Logan Leonard combined for 10 saves for Montville (2-4-2, 0-2-1).In other games:• Carson Luther snapped a 1-1 tie in the 33rd minute and Ledyard went on to beat Stonington 3-1 in an ECC Division II game.
