Norwich — Matthew Allen scored twice as Waterford beat Norwich Free Academy 5-0 in a boys' soccer game on Saturday.Matthew Shampine had a goal and two assists, Ian Rush and Boden Fagan scored goals and Ethan Stelik had an assist for the Lancers (6-2-4). Nick Zaprianov and Calvin Sammarco scored two goals each and James Hiltz made four saves for the Bulldogs (5-2-3, 5-0). Peter Levanto scored twice, Drew Deary had an assist and Luke Dowrey made seven saves for Wheeler (6-6, 4-2).• Sal Alessio scored twice as Stonington beat Morgan 3-1. Norwich Tech is 8-6.• Norwich Tech remained unbeaten in the CTC with a 3-0 win over Vinal Tech on Friday. Nyomi Barboza had 10 kills and six aces, Kristen Romanski had seven kills and Rose Johnny had nine assists and four digs for the Warriors (8-0), who won 25-7, 25-5, 25-11.• Bacon Academy beat Montville 3-2 in an ECC Division III match on Friday. The Bobcats (9-5, 3-1) won 19-25, 25-22, 25-12, 23-15, 15-12. Mackenzie Payne had 23 assists and 11 digs, Josselyn Liss had 14 digs and Savannah Malinowsky had five kills and six aces for Montville (8-6, 2-2).Football• Ledyard remained unbeaten with a 36-6 win over Plainfield on Friday. AJ Adamick rushed for 268 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Adamick, who also had three 2-point conversions, had scoring runs of 65, 61 and 4 yards.Calvin Casavant, who ran for 98 yards on 14 carries, and Brian Johnson also had touchdown runs for the Colonels (4-0), who rushed for 431 yards as a team. Jacob Garro passed for 233 yards and three touchdowns for East Lyme (1-3, 0-2). He threw two touchdown passes to Greg Paige (37 and 43 yards) and one to Logan Benoit (43). Garro also had a 62-yard touchdown run. Paige's 76-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter got the Vikings to within 35-32.• Windham quarterback Francisco Alvarado scored on a 5-yard touchdown run with 1:20 left in the game to snap a 6-6 tie and lead the Whippets to a 13-6 win over Stonington on Friday night.Windham (4-0) led 6-0 on a 19-yard scoring run by Aseal Garcia Rodriguez. Stonington quarterback Jayden Carter tied the game with a 2-yard touchdown run. The Bears are 2-2.
