Madison resident and Soundview Y Stingrays swimmer Marissa Rossi was awarded the 2013 George Miles scholarship in August. Rossi is an honor student who just graduated from Hand. She is attending Lafayette College in Easton, PA as a pre-med student and will swim for Lafayette's women's swimming and diving team, a Division I program and member of the Patriot League.

This is the third year of the George Miles Scholarship. Its purpose is to provide one non-renewable grant to a Soundview Y graduating high school senior who best demonstrates the following criteria: economic need, being an active swimmer for Soundview Family YMCA Stingrays, along with showing community and or academic leadership.
