    Norwich police investigate convenience store robbery

    Norwich – City police responded to a local convenience store Friday night for a reported armed robbery.

    Police in a news release said an emergency call came into the department around 8:30 p.m. The clerk from Mak’s Food convenience store at 204 Boswell Ave. told dispatchers a masked male entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money from the register, then fled on foot with cash.

    Police said nobody was harmed in the incident.

    The department is asking the public to help identify a suspect. The man wore dark clothes except for tan boots, according to police.
