Groton Town police identify woman killed when car crashed into mobile home
Groton — Town Police have identified the woman who was killed when her car crashed into a mobile home on Buddington Road on Friday as Dorothy L. Bronson, 83, of 301 Buddington Road, Lot 73.
Bronson was a resident of the Eastwood Mobile Homes Park where the crash occurred.
Police said Bronson's 2007 Toyota Avalon, believed to be traveling north from the upper lot of the mobile home area and headed downhill, crashed into a mobile home in the lower lot at 1:49 p.m., causing the mobile home to become dislodged from its foundation.
Bronson was found unresponsive inside the vehicle and was transported to L+M Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A person who was inside the mobile home was not injured. Due to the extensive damage to the home, a local building inspector deemed the residence uninhabitable. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident, police said
