    Owen captures SK Modified win at the Speedbowl

    Waterford – Todd Owen cruised to victory in the 35-lap SK Modified race on Saturday night at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

    Owen took advantage of a pair of early crashes to easily pick up his division-leading fourth win. Owen leads with 395 with Eric Berndt second with 380. Anthony Flannery, who is third with 359 points, finished second and Paul Buzel was third.

    Other winners included Brody Monahan (Late Models), Evan Bourgeois (SK Lights) and Charles Beal (Mini Stocks). Isaiah Newcomb and Dylan Cote each won a Legends race.

    Monahan’s win was his second in the division but Jason Palmer and his six victories leads with 389 points. Corey Fanning was second and Glen Thomas finished third.

    Bourgeois picked up his third win and took over the top spot in SK Lights with 257 points. Newcomb finished second and John O’Sullivan, who is second with 250 points, was third.

    John Bavolacco was second in the Mini Stocks race followed by Christopher Garside, who leads the division with 347 points. Bavolacco is second with 345.

    Newcomb and Cote each picked up their third wins in the Legends division. Newcomb leads with 299 points and Cote is second with 276.
