Possible injuries reported in crash involving school bus

State police are investigating a crash involving a school bus in Southbury on Monday.

Troopers were dispatched to Southford Road on Monday around 9:15 a.m. on a report of the crash, according to Connecticut State Police.

State police said “possible injuries” were reported, though they said preliminary information suggested the school bus was not occupied by any students.

Joshua Smith, superintendent of Pomperaug Regional School District 15, told The Courant the school bus involved was not transporting children from Regional District 15 — which serves students from Middlebury and Southbury. Smith said he did not have any additional details.
